Jackson Hole in Late Autumn

Picture
Autumn is resplendent in Jackson Hole. At an elevation of 6,200 feet (1,890 meters), Jackson Hole is likely to be sunny and warm during the day, with temperatures in the low 70’s (20º Celsius), although the nights can dip below freezing. Jackets, sweaters and similar warm clothing are recommended.

Jackson is nothing if not eclectic! Nestled in the shadow of the Grand Teton Range, this landscape has inspired brilliant art and transformative insight. A place filled with dramatic juxtapositions, Jackson Hole pairs down home hospitality and rustic western simplicity with five-star dining, world-class performances and a thriving art scene. Whether your taste runs from thrilling outdoor adventure or a solitary backcountry expedition, to gallery walks and personal restoration in an outdoor spa, you will find more to do than you can possibly fit into a single visit. But that’s okay, too—you will just want to come back for more!

Nature

Rich with extraordinary wildlife, pristine lakes, and alpine terrain, you can explore over two hundred miles of trails, float the Snake River or simply enjoy the serenity of this remarkable place. With elk bugling at dawn and landscape ablaze with autumn color, there is no better time enjoy the extraordinary beauty and wildness that surrounds us. Steam lingers above water during the frosty mornings of fall, and there is a sense of quiet tension as the entire Valley readies for winter. Animals are on the move—and on the hunt, and you are likely to see moose, elk, bison, bears and even wolves in full splendor.
