COVID-19 Protocol

At the 2021 Summit
Attend the Summit
After 18 months of isolation, we are eager to convene in person, as we reimagine our roles in creating meaningful, purpose-driven content in a media landscape that is more important than ever, finding inspiration and pushing boundaries as we engage the world to action.

Jackson Wild is committed to create a COVID-safe environment during the Summit. While Wyoming has a current vaccination rate just under 40%, Jackson Hole is more than 80% vaccinated, and anyone above 18 can simply walk in for free Pfizer or Moderna doses.
In addition to closely complying with all local, state and federal guidelines, we are taking additional measures to create the safest possible Summit experience.

To attend the 2021 Summit, you must understand and agree to the below terms and precautions that Jackson Wild is taking.

COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOL AT THE SUMMIT

Jackson Wild will be working with our venue partner to enforce the following safety protocol to manage risk at the event:
  • All Jackson Wild staff, volunteers and attendees will be required to be fully vaccinated to attend, in addition to receiving a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of the beginning of the event.
  • Jackson Wild will be providing on-site rapid antigen tests, which will be included in the cost of your pass.
  • Increased disinfection of the most utilized contact surfaces, especially in catering areas, conference rooms, and stands
  • Hand washing/hand sanitizing stations easily accessible in multiple locations around the venue
  • Distanced seating in indoor and outdoor venues
  • All delegates, staff, and volunteers are required to wear a face mask at all indoor locations throughout the Summit. We will provide masks upon entry to all indoor spaces
  • The Center for the Arts has upgraded our venue’s HVAC systems to allow increased ventilation and filtration and improve ambient air quality
  • All caterers, primary staff and volunteers will be required to wear masks both indoors and outdoors
  • Exhibitors will have access to enhanced cleaning and disinfection services for their booths
  • No communal meals--We will have a lineup of local food trucks and catered food and drink options for dispersed dining options
  • Staff and volunteers will be going through a daily screening for symptoms, and temperature checks
We have taken enhanced health and safety measures for you, our staff and volunteers. By registering for the Summit, you must follow all posted instructions while attending the event, and you must adhere to the following requirements:
  1. Vaccination requirement: For the in-person portion of the Jackson Wild Summit, Jackson Wild will be adopting a “Vaccination required” approach for all in attendance. This means that all delegates, staff, volunteers and fellows will have to provide verification of full vaccination in order to gain access to the in-person Summit. You are considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after your second dose in a two-shot series like Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine such as the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. We understand that being fully vaccinated may not be possible for everyone for various reasons and have come to this decision with great difficulty. As one of the first in-person events since the onset of COVID19, we appreciate your understanding as we navigate making this event as low risk as possible for those in attendance. We encourage those individuals to attend the Summit virtually and are excited to share new offerings that make tuning in from your own home, a deeply integrated experience.
  2. COVID-19 Testing policy: To access the in-person portion of the Summit, Jackson Wild will be requiring results  of a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of the beginning of the Summit (9am MDT on Monday), even for individuals with a complete vaccination course. Jackson Wild will be providing on-site rapid antigen tests, which will be included in the cost of your pass.
  3. Mask policy: All delegates, staff, and volunteers are required to wear a face mask at all indoor locations throughout the Summit. Face masks must cover both your mouth and nose, and fit securely around the sides of your face.Masks are not required when attending any outdoor event or venue.
  4. COVID-19 Disclaimer: In order to attend Jackson Wild Summit, you will need to verify that you do not qualify in one or more of the following categories:
- Are currently experiencing or have experienced any symptoms related to COVID-19 which include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle aches, and other symptoms outlined by the CDC, within 14 days of the event.
- Have been exposed or believed to have been exposed to anyone who is confirmed to be COVID-19 positive within 14 days of the event.
- Have tested positive with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local health authorities or the health care team responsible for their treatment.

Jackson Wild will continue to monitor the health and safety requirements; should these requirements modify before the event, attendees will be notified and expected to adhere to the requirements in place at the time of the event.

Guests will be asked to monitor their symptoms on a daily basis. If an individual is feeling symptomatic, they will be asked to self-quarantine immediately, and to take a COVID-19 test.

In the event of a delegate who tests positive during the event, Jackson Wild will follow CDC protocol and:
  1. Isolate and Transport Those Who are Sick: Immediately separate the individual with COVID-19 symptoms (for example, fever, cough, shortness of breath) at the event.  People who have had close contact with a person who has symptoms should be separated, sent home, and advised to follow CDC’s guidance. Establish procedures for safely transporting anyone sick or identified as a close contact to their home or hotel room or to a healthcare facility.
  2. Clean and Disinfect: Close off areas used by a sick person and do not use these areas until after cleaning and disinfecting them (for outdoor areas, this includes surfaces or shared objects in the area, if applicable).
  3. Notify Health Officials and Close Contacts. In accordance with state and local laws and regulations, event planners should notify local health officials of any case of COVID-19. Advise those who have had close contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19 to stay home and quarantine, self-monitor for symptoms, and follow CDC guidance if symptoms develop. Consider keeping a list of attendees and their contact information for potential future contact tracing needs.

At registration, all attendees will be required to consent to the following waiver:

There is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present. By attending the Jackson Wild Summit, you voluntarily assume all risks related to the exposure to COVID-19 and agree that you will not hold Jackson Wild liable for any illness that may result. Although we have put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 at our venue, we cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not be exposed to or contract COVID-19 while at the Jackson Wild Summit. We expect you to be on your honor to be as conscious as you can. You are assuming responsibility for your own health and safety.

You must follow all posted instructions while at the Jackson Wild Summit. Help keep each other healthy. Jackson Wild will continue to monitor national and local health and safety requirements; should these requirements modify before the event, attendees will be notified and expected to adhere to the requirements in place at the time of the event. Jackson Wild reserves the right to remove any attendee from the event for failure to adhere to the required COVID-19 health and safety measures and other protocols for attendance at the event.

As an attendee, you understand that to attend the Jackson Wild Summit, you must be fully vaccinated. You agree to be tested and have any positive test results disclosed to Jackson Wild so we can be of assistance to ensure you are properly cared for. Jackson Wild assumes no liability for false negative tests. As an attendee, you understand and agree to all COVID-19 protocol.
