I am Fiston Ishimwe, from a young age; I committed to creating a big change in my community's understanding toward biodiversity. I am a young conservationist passionate in using technology in this jungle-based works; currently working in Akagera National Park, Rwanda as Community Liaison Officer. I did wildlife tourism after forestry in my university and did different training on conservation and climate change.
I love seeing the local community engaged in conserving the natural resources for the win-win benefits and, I am strived to do whatever it takes to ensure that the community is aware of Human-Wildlife interaction. The majority think of technology in business and other work matters and few think technology in trees and animals. Moreover, my additional intention is to use technology to engage the community in biodiversity conservation through storytelling among other means.
