World Wildlife Day 2024 Showcase
Jackson Wild and the Secretariat of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) teamed up to inspire personal responsibility and stewardship for endangered creatures through a showcase of films and media projects across the world. The World Wildlife Day Showcase is one of the global events that will accompany the UN World Wildlife Day 2024 celebrations and help illustrate its theme.
World Wildlife Day 2024 will explore digital innovation and seek to highlight how digital technologies and services can drive wildlife conservation and human-wildlife coexistence now and for future generations in an increasingly connected world. This year's showcase will spotlight films and multimedia content which align with the event's overarching theme. Learn more about this year's theme in a recent statement from CITES.
Jackson Wild is currently accepting films and projects that explore advanced technological innovations in wildlife conservation. Our goal is to share films that highlight the transformative power of technology in safeguarding our natural world, the skill in utilizing filmmaking technologies to advance scientific understanding and conservation efforts, and projects that integrate the interactive potential of digital media and technology to foster awareness of and a deep connection with the wonders of the natural world.
It is free to submit a film or project. Selections will be based on the 2024 World Wildlife Day theme relevance.
Selected projects will be announced at the World Wildlife Day United Nations Event on 4 March 2024. Projects will be showcased online throughout 2024.
